Osprey Technologies Opens New Michigan Manufacturing Facility

Sault Sainte Marie, MI – Osprey Technologies owner Dave Crockett has expanded Osprey’s manufacturing and fabricating capabilities to the upper Midwest. Osprey Technologies specializes in:

  • Fabrication of composite structures using thermoset resins (wet layup and prepreg) and any reinforcement fiber from tows, uni-tapes, fabrics, mats, and felts.
  • Fabrication of sandwich core structures with core materials ranging from foam to honeycomb core
  • Fabrication of patterns, soft tools (tooling board), composite tools, and nonferrous metal tools.  Machining done on 3 axis CNC with 5′ x 10′ vacuum table
  • Trim, drill, and machining of composite structures with 3 axis CNC or 12″ diameter lathe
  • Machining of core material (foam or honeycomb) on large 3 axis CNC gantry mill
  • Manufacturing process of composites include wet or prepreg hand layups (monolithic or sandwich core) and vacuum resin infusion (VARTM)
  • Adhesive bonding of structure including fabrication of bonding/assembly jigs
  • Composite structure repair capabilities
